Description
(Anglais) I was only responsible for the game-design and graphic design on this one. The engine and programming was done entirely out-of-house by a pair of hardcore assembly programmers. The plan was an overhead shooter (similar to Apogee's Major Striker). I thought I would expand on the Xyfud Plasfoc's Earth Invasion license by continuing Earth's invasion on it's surface. The game wouldn't have been revolutionary, the engine was limited to low resolution 16 colors, which was a step back considering the original Earth Invasion boasted 640x350 high-resolution graphics. But the engine was speedy and offered the smooth scrolling required for a surface game. After a little while, some communication problems and such, one of the programmer abandoned the project and the other took the engine and released a completely different game of his own.
A later attempt was made to resurrect the game as a 256 colors, Zaxxon-style shooter. But it never took off, the programmer gave up early in development.
